Cyclists will move to mainland Greece for the second stage and a ride to the Peloponnese peninsula, starting from Mycenae and ending at the beach of Kalamata. Major attractions like Tiryns and Nafplion await the riders in the first part of their Peloponnesian trek. They will also pass through Megalopolis, a small town where twenty years ago, local hero Vassilis Anastopoulos, sent the crowd into raptures, becoming the one and only Greek rider to date to win the blue jersey of the Tour of Hellas in the modern era.
