The riders taking parte at the ΔΕΗ International Tour of Hellas 2024 leave Macedonia behind and enter the Region of Thessaly which suffer severely in 2023 due to extreme weather conditions.

In the second stage of the ΔΕΗ International Tour of Hellas 2024, which is 169.78 kilometers long, the riders will start from the Municipal Park of Katerini at 1 p.m. and head south, leaving Macedonia behind, to enter the Region of Thessaly.

After passing the first categorized climb in Livadi (cat. 1, at the 34.8 km) and the first intermediate sprint in Elassona (km 65), the riders will climb the "barren Meluna" a mountain mentioned in one of composer’s Thanasis Papakonstantinou songs. The second intermediate sprint is scheduled to take place in Larissa (km 110) and the stage will be concluded outside the Municipal Stadium of Karditsa.

A medium-difficulty stage, where a breakaway group is expected to shape up. Back in the peloton, the sprinters' groups will control the race, before they attack the breakaway riders for another bunch sprint towards the finish line.
